Tahnee The Tasmanian Devil
We acknowledge the Nations and people of Lutruwita traditional owners of Tasmania and their elder both past and present. Unfortunately, because of colonisation most of their languages have been lost. The Palawa Kani project was formed to synthesise the vestiges of Tasmanian language and the word Purinina was chosen for the Tasmanian Devil
Tasmanian Devils are the largest carnivorous marsupials in the world, and they have a bit so strong they could crush your bones or the strongest of metals. They use these powerful jaws to consume every part of their pray, leaving no scraps.
Tasmanian devils are an endangered species one of the reasons is that they are often hit by cars when looking for food, another is a facial tumor disease is spreading through the population that fills their mouths and stop them from eating.
Tahnee stands at 10cm long and 5cm tall. VOC free tints and sustainably sourced maple wood.
